About
NIXX/DEV
A curated collection of free, browser-based tools for developers, designers, and data professionals — built and maintained by a working software developer.
nixx.dev started as a personal toolkit — a place to collect the small utilities that kept coming up in day-to-day development work. Over time it grew into something more deliberate: a site built around the idea that the best developer tools are the ones that just work, without accounts, paywalls, or unnecessary complexity.
From JSON formatting and JWT decoding to image compression, solar system sizing, and mock data generation, every tool is crafted to solve a specific problem quickly. The goal is to give developers and professionals something genuinely useful — not a demo or a marketing funnel.
Fast by default
Every tool loads instantly and runs in your browser. No waiting for servers, no spinning loaders.
Private by design
Your data never leaves your device. All processing happens locally — nothing is stored or transmitted.
Built for real work
Each tool is designed around a genuine workflow need. If it does not solve a real problem, it does not ship.

Nicholas Charles
Full-Stack Developer
5+ years of professional experience · Web & Software Engineering
I am a full-stack developer with over five years of professional experience building web applications and tools. My work spans frontend engineering with React and Next.js, backend development with Node.js and PostgreSQL, and everything in between. I have worked across product companies, freelance projects, and open source.
I built NIXX/DEV because I was tired of tools being locked behind accounts, scattered across different sites, or not existing at all. Every tool here is something I've personally needed and decided to build in one place. I write about web development on DEV Community where my articles have reached 2,000+ followers, and my writing has been featured on BuiltIn, a major technology publication.
